The Museum of History of Madrid, former Municipal Museum, is located in the Centro district of the capital of Spain, in Fuencarral Street. It occupies the building of the Royal Hospice of San Fernando, built in the eighteenth century by the architect Pedro de Ribera in baroque style. The main façade is considered one of the most representative works of Spanish civil baroque.
